Apple announces next-gen iPad Pro with M2 chip

Apple announces the upgraded iPad Pro, now powered by the M2 chip. It features a next-level Apple Pencil hover experience, ProRes video capture, Wi-Fi 6E, and powerful features in iPadOS 16.

The M2 chip brings more performance and capabilities to the iPad Pro with an 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, making it 40 percent better performance than the M1.

Meanwhile, the iPad Pro can now detect the hover of the Apple Pencil 2nd gen from up to 12mm above the display, allowing users to see a preview of their mark before they make it. This also allows users to draw and illustrate with better precision.

The new iPad Pro also comes with the latest Wi-Fi 6E connectivity with download speeds of up to 2.4GB. Wi-Fi + Cellular models, on the other hand, now have 5G support.
