EDSA Carousel will start offering 24/7 free rides on Dec. 1

According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the start of the 24/7 free rides at the EDSA Bus Carousel is on December 1 to 31, 2022.

More passengers are expected during the holiday season, especially since the MMDA has extended the operating hours of NCR malls from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. to alleviate heavy traffic that is expected to build up.

Previously, free rides on the route of Caloocan City to the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange were only available from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Unfortunately, DOTr said that this could possibly be the last time free rides on the EDSA Carousel are happening because the government has no funds allocated for the program next year. The DOTr called for funds to be reallocated so the program can be extended.
