vivo has always preferred its Y-series smartphones, with several releases bearing the name vivo Y55s. This time around, the brand announced the vivo Y55s 5G, a new midrange phone for 2023, set for the global market.
The vivo Y55s 5G 2023 follows past Y55s released in 2017 and 2021, but features specs similar to that of the vivo Y55 that launched in 2022. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
At the front, the vivo Y55s 5G is equipped with a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS display. For its cameras, it has an 8MP selfie snapper, along with a 50MP main camera supported by a couple of 2MP shooters for depth and macro.
The smartphone also has a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C. It also features a side fingerprint scanner and a Funtouch OS 12.

As for the price, its close to past variants. The 2023 global vivo Y55s 5G is priced at NTD 7,990 (PHP 14,500 / USD 264) for the 4GB+128GB model, and NTD 8,490 (Php 15,300 / USD 280) for the 6GB+128GB model.
