Retailer leaks the price of the OPPO Reno8 T in the Philippines

We reported about the launch of the OPPO Reno8 T in the Philippines this coming February 8, and listed some of its key specs. The big detail everyone wants to know is, of course, the price. Luckily, some intrepid retailers were unable to restrain themselves, revealing the OPPO Reno8 T’s price in the Philippines on a listing on Facebook.

Our friends at Revu found an ad listing of the OPPO Reno8 T that revealed the price of the phone to be PHP 18,999 (around USD 350 / INR 28,422). The listing also has some of its key specs, most of which we already know about.

The Reno8 T’s microsite (which has apparently been taken down) shows the phone to come with a 100MP portrait camera and a 5000mAh battery, along with 8GB of RAM (plus 8GB more via RAM expansion) and 128GB of storage. However, marketing materials we chanced upon in local malls also revealed a 256GB variant.

The smartphone will also come in black and orange colors, with the orange variant sporting a “fiberglass-leather design” with matching stitches, which is marketing jargon for a plastic faux leather texture.

The listing, meanwhile, adds that the OPPO Reno8 T is going to have a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, a 40X microlens, ColorOS 13, and 33W Super VOOC fast charging.

Meanwhile, rumors suggest the Reno8 T will have either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 with 5G or a MediaTek Helio G99 with 4G, which is what we’re expecting here in the Philippines. The aforementioned marketing materials we saw did not mention 5G after all.

And finally, the OPPO Reno8 T will have a 48-month Fluency Protection, which basically means a guarantee that the phone will have a smooth performance from day one, with little to no degradation up to 48 months later.

Honestly, we weren’t expecting any more reveals since the OPPO Reno8 T is so close to launching on February 8. But if the PHP 18,999 price tag is indeed true, it will draw comparisons to other enticing smartphones in the market, such as the tough Honor X9a 5G (PHP 16,990), the realme 10 4G (starts at PHP 12,999), and the vivo V25e (PHP 17,999).
