realme will officially launch its latest number Pro series on February 14, 2023, unveiling the realme 10 Pro 5G and realme 10 Pro+ 5G.
This time, we’re going to take a look at the realme 10 Pro 5G, and share our thoughts and first impressions as we build up to a full review.
Inside the Box
The unboxing experience for the realme 10 Pro 5G is quite similar to other realme phones in the past. The packaging is the yellow-colored box that has the realme branding and the black bar at the bottom.
Inside the box, the phone comes with a standard set of accessories.
- realme 10 Pro 5G
- Pre-installed screen protector
- Silicone case
- SUPERVOOC Fast Charger
- USB-C cable
- SIM eject tool
- Documentation
First Impressions
The realme 10 Pro 5G features a different design than its slimmer sibling, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G. The non-Plus variant sports a bar-like design, similar to the iPhone 14 series and the Galaxy S23 series. The frame has flat sides and the display is flat too. Thanks to this, however, the handset feels more ergonomic, making it easier to hold with a more comfortable hand feel.
Our review unit comes in Dark Matter, which sports a fingerprint-resistant matte black finish. The other available colors of the realme 10 Pro 5G are Hyperspace Gold and Nebula Blue.
The phone has a 6.72-inch FHD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It has up to 680 nits of brightness and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification for eye care. The display has deep, solid colors with good clarity.
Inside, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 powers the device with 8GB of RAM. Our review unit has 128GB storage, but the retail version will come with 256GB. It also has a dual slot tray, should you want to extend the storage capacity with a microSD card.
The realme 10 Pro 5G comes with Android 13-based realme UI 4.0 out of the box. Unlike the Plus variant, this one has its fair share of third-party applications and games, which slows down the unboxing and start-up experience a bit. As usual, just uninstall or disable what you don’t need.
On the photography side, the smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup in the rear with a 108MP primary camera and a 2MP depth secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16MP shooter in front.
Other specs include stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.

My overall impressions of the realme 10 Pro 5G are good, but it’s hard to talk about the value when the official price is yet to be revealed. That being said, we’ll save our final verdict for the full review, which is coming soon.
