Tecno Phantom X2 series arrives in the Philippines

Tecno Mobile, one of the smartphone brands under Transsion with Infinix and Itel Mobile, recently announced its latest flagship series, the Phantom X2 Pro and Phantom X2. Both devices are available on the Tecno Official Store on Lazada, priced at ₱42,999 and ₱32,999, respectively.

The main difference between the two models lies in the rear camera setup. The Phantom X2 has a triple camera system with a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP sensor.

The Phantom X2 Pro, on the other hand, also has a triple camera system, but with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto with a retractable lens and 2.5x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.

The Phantom X2 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Phantom X2 Pro has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphones are powered by a 4nm Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chipset with a 5160mAh battery and 45W fast charging.

The processor has an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 3GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2GHz. It also has a Mali-G78 GPU with nine cores for graphics performance.

Both devices run on Android 12 with Tecno’s HiOS which offers features such as a smart panel, game mode, video assistant, and gesture navigation. However, some users may find HiOS too cluttered or intrusive compared to stock Android or other skins.

The Tecno Phantom X2 family still takes after its predecessor in certain ways but is overall a truly premium flagship. Just like its Pro sibling, the Phantom X2 has an eye-catching premium design with curved edges and gradient colors. The phones also have an under-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
