Canon has unveiled the PowerShot V10. Aimed at smartphone natives who want to create high-quality vlogs and content, the new concept camera combines Canon’s imaging technologies with a slim, ergonomic design and seamless video performance.
The Canon PowerShot V10 is a video-centric concept camera with a retractable, tiltable stand that provides tripod-like support for various shooting angles. It also has built-in omnidirectional microphones that cancel noise and produces high-quality audio.
The camera has a 1-inch CMOS sensor with approximately 15.2 effective megapixels and a DIGIC X image processor. It has a fixed focal length lens with an equivalent focal length of 19mm and an aperture of f/2.8. It can record 4K UHD videos at 30p/25p/24p and Full HD videos at 60p/50p/30p/25p/24p. It also supports vertical video recording and slow-motion video recording at 120p in Full HD.
The camera has a 2-inch tilt-type LCD monitor with approximately 460k dots and touch panel operation. It has an autofocus system that supports Face Tracking AF and Specified Frame AF. It also has a Movie Auto ND filter that automatically turns the built-in 3-stop ND filter on or off according to ambient brightness.
The camera supports real-time delivery methods such as live streaming via the Camera Connect app and webcam function via the USB-C connection. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless transfer and remote control.
