vivo Y36 4G to launch in the Philippines on July 15

The vivo Y36 4G, an eye-catching mid-range smartphone with a 6.64-inch 90Hz display, a 50MP main camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging, is set to launch in the Philippines on July 15.

Teased on vivo Philippines’ official Facebook page, the vivo Y36 4G succeeds the popular vivo Y35 with modest upgrades from the latter. The Y36 will be available in two colors, Meteor Black and Glitter Aqua, and has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The smartphone also features an extended virtual RAM of up to 8GB for smoother multitasking.

The vivo Y36 4G is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor, a 6nm chipset that can clock up to 2.4GHz. It runs on Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13, vivo’s custom user interface.

At the front, the smartphone sports a 6.64-inch IPS display with a 2388×1080 resolution, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a gaming touch sampling rate of 240Hz for improved responsiveness in fast-paced gaming scenarios. There’s also a notch for the selfie camera, which houses a 16MP sensor with portrait light effects and bokeh mode.

The rear camera setup consists of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera for portrait shots. It also packs a 5000mAh battery that can support 44W fast charging, which can charge the smartphone from 0% to 30% in just 15 minutes, according to vivo.

The vivo Y36 4G is expected to be priced at P12,999, based on the listing of several online sellers on Shopee. However, the official price and availability of the smartphone will be announced on July 15.
