iPhone 15 series RAM and battery details confirmed

iPhone 15 has bigger batteries and same RAM as iPhone 14 series.

Apple recently unveiled its latest iPhone 15 series, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The new models feature a sleek design, a dynamic island always-on display, a powerful A17 Pro chip and ProMotion technology for the Pro models, and powerful camera systems.

However, Apple is notorious for keeping some details about its iPhones from the public, such as the RAM and battery capacities. Thankfully, reports have uncovered these specifications for the iPhone 15 series.

According to a Chinese regulatory database, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus come with a 3,349mAh and 4,383mAh battery respectively. These are slightly higher than the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus, which had a 3,279mAh and 4,325mAh battery respectively. The iPhone 15 series also supports 20W fast charging, which can charge the devices up to 50% in 30 minutes.

The iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, have 3,274mAh and 4,422mAh respectively. These are also higher than the previous generation, which had 3,200mAh and 4,323mAh respectively. The iPhone 15 Pro series also supports MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W, as well as Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W.

As for the RAM, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus have 6GB of RAM each, while the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max have 8GB of RAM each. These are the same as the iPhone 14 series, which also had 6GB and 8GB of RAM respectively.

Keep in mind that while the difference in RAM and battery capacity is not that huge, the combination of the new A17 Pro chip, iOS 17, and other optimizations is expected to deliver better performance and power efficiency than the previous models.

Availability details of the iPhone 15 series in the Philippines have not yet been announced. The prices start from ₱56,990 for the iPhone 15, ₱63,990 for the iPhone 15 Plus, ₱70,990 for the iPhone 15 Pro, and ₱84,990 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
