Niightmare Esports sweep CRIT x EVO to win M Challenge Cup S2, qualifies for M5 Wild Card Stage

Niightmare Esports secures their spot in the M5 Wild Card stage after dominating the M Challenge Cup Mekong Season 2 Grand Finals.

The team defeated CRIT x EVO, a Thai squad backed by the popular EVO Esports organization, in a flawless 4-0 sweep in the best-of-seven (BO7) series. The Grand Finals were held offline at Central World Mall in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 23, 2023.

Niightmare Esports won all of their matches without dropping a single game. They faced off against CRIT x EVO, who had previously beaten them in the M Challenge Cup Mekong Season 1, in the final showdown. The champs proved that they had learned from their past mistakes and adapted to the new meta, as they outplayed and outsmarted their opponents in every aspect of the game.

The Grand Finals were witnessed by a live audience of 200 fans and spectators. Niightmare Esports earned a cash prize of over USD 3,000+ and a ticket to the M5 Wild Card stage, where they will compete against other regional winners for a chance to enter the M5 World Championship. The M5 Wild Card stage will take place in Malaysia in November 2023.

Niightmare Esports are the second team to qualify for the M5 Wild Card stage, following the footsteps of Team Secret from Southeast Asia.

The M Challenge Cup Mekong Season 2 is a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament for teams from the Mekong region, which includes Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The tournament was held from August 5 to September 24, 2023, with the grand finals taking place at Central World Mall in Bangkok, Thailand.
