OPPO recently launched a new entry-level device, the OPPO A18. The phone was spotted on the company’s UAE website and is expected to be available in the local market soon.
The OPPO A18 features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also has a waterdrop notch at the top that houses a 5MP selfie camera.
The OPPO A18 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a budget gaming processor typical of entry phones, offering a balance between efficiency and performance. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. The phone also runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 on top, providing a user-friendly and customizable interface.
The OPPO A18 boasts a dual rear camera setup, consisting of an 8MP main camera with autofocus and a 2MP depth sensor, which supports night video, panorama, and 1080p video recording at 30fps.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery that can last for more than a day of moderate usage. There’s no information on any fast charging technology, but it uses a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The OPPO A18 comes in two color options: Glowing Black and Glowing Blue. It has a polycarbonate body with a sleek and ergonomic design and a glossy finish that reflects light from different angles.
The price of the OPPO A18 is yet to be announced. And its availability in other markets, including the Philippines, is still unknown.
