REDMAGIC 9 Pro and Pro+ launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 120Hz display, up to 165W fast charging

REDMAGIC launched two new gaming flagship devices: the REDMAGIC 9 Pro and REDMAGIC 9 Pro+. Both phones boast impressive specifications and features that cater to mobile gamers and enthusiasts.

The REDMAGIC 9 Pro and Pro+ feature a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display made by BOE. It has a resolution of 2480×1116 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display supports 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3, and DC dimming. It also has an under-display 16MP selfie camera (which means no hole punch or notches) and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

REDMAGIC 9 Pro, 9 Pro+

Both phones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. At the back, the duo has a 50MP main camera with a Samsung GN 5 sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor.

The major difference between the two models is the battery capacity and charging speed. The Pro+ model has a slightly smaller 5500mAh battery with a blazing 165W fast charging, while the Pro model has a 6500mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

The REDMAGIC 9 Pro and Pro+ also come with gaming-specific features for an enhanced gaming experience, including dual shoulder triggers that can be customized for different games and an improved cooling system with a graphene layer and a 22,000 RPM fan that can lower temperatures by up to 15 degrees.

The phones also have a dedicated gaming mode that can block notifications, optimize performance, and enable RGB lighting effects.

The REDMAGIC 9 Pro and Pro+ are available in three variations, namely a Black variant with an opaque design, and transparent Black and Silver variants with slightly higher price points.
