HONOR unveiled its latest flagship killer, the HONOR 90 GT, in China. The phone boasts a 6.78-inch OLED display, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and 100W fast charging.
The term flagship killer has been thrown around a lot. But this could be one of those rare times it’s the case.
The HONOR 90 GT features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2664×1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 2600 nits, and HDR support. The panel is flat with a punch-hole cutout for the 16MP selfie camera. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Under the hood, the HONOR 90 GT is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The phone also runs on MagicOS 7.2 on top of Android 13 and offers a clean and user-friendly interface.
The HONOR 90 GT has a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX906 sensor, an f/1.95 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS); and a 12MP ultra-wide and macro camera with a 120-degree field of view and can also take macro shots as close as 4cm.
The smartphone has a 5000mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging. It also has a USB-C port, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.
The HONOR 90 GT comes in three colors: Black, Blue, and Gold. The phone has four variants, with different RAM and storage configurations. The 12GB+256GB model is priced at CNY 2,599 (₱20,150 / $364), the 16GB+256GB at CNY 2,899 (₱22,500 / $400), the 16GB+512GB at CNY 3,199 (₱24,800 / $450), and the 24GB+1TB at CNY 3,699 (₱28,700 / $520).
The phone’s price is seriously competitive, considering the high-end specifications, befitting a flagship killer. It will, however, compete with rivals the likes of Samsung, OPPO, and Xiaomi in the premium smartphone segment.
The HONOR 90 GT is currently available in China, and there is no word on its global availability yet.
