GCash teamed up with Aboitiz retail network brand PERA HUB to offer cash-in transactions for its global remittance network. The partnership, announced recently, allows GCash users to access PERA HUB’s wide range of remittance partners via the GCash app.
“Through this partnership, millions of Filipinos around the world can benefit from easier and more affordable remittance services, ensuring they can always send money back home,” said Ren-Ren Reyes, president and CEO of G-Xchange Inc., the mobile wallet operator of GCash.
PERA HUB, the retail brand of PETNET, has a long and impressive history in the remittance business, spanning 25 years. It operates 186 company-owned locations and thousands of sub-agents nationwide. It is majority-owned by City Savings Bank, Inc. and Union Properties, Inc., both wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Aboitiz Group’s Union Bank of the Philippines.
By partnering with PERA HUB, GCash users can now claim remittances and choose from a variety of remittance partners, such as Remitly, IntelExpress, InstantCash, Ayannah, and soon, Uniteller. These partners offer competitive rates and fast delivery of remittances to the Philippines.

Remittances are a vital source of income for many Filipino families, especially those with relatives working overseas. In 2022, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported a record-high of $36.14 billion in remittances to the Philippines, reflecting the resilience and generosity of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
