HONOR X9b 5G: Toughest phone to launch in the Philippines on Jan. 12

HONOR will launch its toughest phone, the HONOR X9b 5G, in the Philippines on January 12, 2024. The mid-range phone made its debut in October 2023.

The HONOR X9b 5G is dubbed the toughest phone with an all-angle ultra-tough design featuring a three-level Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display 360-degree Anti-Drop Protection, which consists of three layers of reinforcement for the screen, frame, and internal compartments.

According to HONOR, this is the first phone in the industry to receive a five-star overall drop resistance certification from Swiss-based test and certification company, SGS.

The HONOR X9b 5G is not just tough on the outside. It also has decent performance on the inside. It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 1.07 billion colors.

It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The HONOR X9b 5G also boasts a triple-camera setup at the back, which consists of a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is a 16MP shooter, tucked in a hole punch cutout.

It also has a large 5800mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and runs on MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13.

The HONOR X9b 5G comes in three colors: Sunrise Orange (Vegan leather), Midnight Black, Emerald Green. The price and availability details will be announced on the launch date.

The device is expected to compete with other mid-range phones in the market from popular brands, such as Samsung, OPPO, realme, and vivo, but distinguishes itself with a durable design.
