Smart and UnionBank offer up to ₱5,000 Welcome Gift and more for new credit card holders

Smart Communications partnered with Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) to give Smart subscribers an exclusive Welcome Gift when they apply for a new UnionBank Credit Card.

The Welcome Gift ranges from ₱2,000 to ₱5,000 depending on the type of credit card and Smart subscription. It can be used to shop online or in-store at any merchant that accepts UnionBank Credit Cards.

To avail of this offer, Smart subscribers need to apply for a UnionBank Credit Card that matches their lifestyle and needs. Smart Prepaid subscribers can get a ₱2,000 Welcome Gift with a UnionBank Rewards Credit Card, which also has no annual fees forever for a minimum spend of ₱20,000 within 60 days of card approval.

Smart Postpaid and Smart Infinity subscribers can choose from three UnionBank Credit Cards that offer a ₱5,000 Welcome Gift: the UnionBank Rewards Credit Card, the UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card, and the UnionBank Reserve Credit Card.

The UnionBank Rewards Credit Card lets users earn points for every purchase, which can be redeemed for cash credits, gift certificates, or air miles, which never expire and can be used to book flights, hotels, or car rentals. It is an invitation-only card that offers premium perks and privileges, such as access to airport lounges, concierge services, and travel insurance.

To receive the ₱5,000 Welcome Gift, Smart Postpaid, and Smart Infinity subscribers only need to enroll their Smart account to the Auto Bills Payment on UnionBank’s website. Additionally, they can also get more rewards from UnionBank, such as 30,000 miles for the UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card and ₱18,000 worth of eGift from Giftaway merchants for the UnionBank Reserve Credit Card, for a minimum spend of ₱40,000 within 60 days of card approval.
