With tensions rising in the Middle East, Smart Communications is offering support to Filipinos in Iran and Israel through free international calls, data roaming, and a 24/7 crisis hotline.
From June 23 to 25, Smart prepaid and postpaid users in the Philippines can make free landline and mobile calls to loved ones in Iran and Israel. Each call follows a fair use policy of up to five minutes.
For subscribers currently in Israel, Smart is also giving free 1GB GigaRoam Global data access. This allows them to stay connected online without added costs.
Over 31,800 Filipinos live and work in the two countries. Many have family members back home who rely on regular updates to know they’re safe.
Smart has also set up the Smart Care Crisis Hotline at +63288457799. This toll-free number helps users resolve connection issues, contact family or government agencies like the Philippine Embassy or OWWA, and receive verified safety alerts.
The company says it is working with international partners to keep services stable. For more updates, visit Smart’s official pages.
