ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) showcased a wide range of new and exclusive products for gamers at its For Those Who Dare: Transcendence virtual launch event for CES 2024.
The products include laptops, displays, a gaming phone, a NUC, a motherboard, a graphics card, a chassis, and accessories that offer high performance, innovative design, and immersive experiences.
New Zephyrus laptops with OLED displays and powerful processors
The Zephyrus G14 and G16 laptops have been redesigned to be thinner and lighter, with a new Slash Lighting array on the lid and a choice of Eclipse Gray or Platinum White colors. They are the first ROG laptops to feature a Nebula Display with an OLED panel and G-SYNC technology, delivering stunning visuals with rich colors and high contrast.
The Zephyrus G14 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 8000 Series processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, while the Zephyrus G16 boasts the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 185H and up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU.
Both laptops have advanced cooling systems with liquid metal, tri-fan, and dual-fan solutions, ensuring optimal performance for gaming and content creation.
ROG Strix laptops with new CPUs and HDR displays
The ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 laptops feature the new 18-inch ROG Nebula HDR Display, the first of its kind in the market. The display has a Mini LED panel with over 2,000 dimming zones and 1,100 nits of peak brightness, as well as the ROG Nebula HDR Engine to minimize blooming and haloing. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio for a cinematic experience.
The ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 are equipped with the Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX and up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 laptop GPU, delivering blazing-fast performance for gaming and multitasking. The laptops also have a tool-less chassis design, a wide touchpad, a per-key RGB keyboard, a 1Gbps LAN, WiFi 6E, and a 720p HD camera.
The ROG Strix G16 and G18 laptops offer similar specifications but with a 16-inch and 18-inch 2.5K (2560×1600) 240Hz ROG Nebula display. They also come in two different versions: the Volt Green version with a metal chassis and an RGB ROG logo, and the Eclipse Gray version with a metal chassis and a low-profile ROG slash pattern.
ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro
The ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro are the ultimate smartphones for gamers, streamers, content creators, and more. They are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform with advanced cooling mechanisms and gaming-friendly AI features, such as Background mode and X Capture.
The ROG Phone 8 series has a 6.78-inch Samsung E6 flexible AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a 5500 mAh battery with wireless charging, and Aura RGB Lighting and Anime Vision Mini-LEDs for customization.
The rear camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with a 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0, a 13 MP ultrawide camera with a free-form lens, and a 32MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom and OIS. The headphones feature Dirac Virtuo for Headphone technology for virtual surround sound.
The ROG Phone 8 series also have IP68 water- and dust-resistance, a slim design, and dual-mode 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. They are compatible with a range of ROG accessories as well.
The ROG NUC is a small form factor PC that offers the freedom to game anytime, anywhere. It is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 or Core Ultra 9 processors, which have Performance Hybrid Architecture and Intel Thread Director for seamless multitasking. It also has the NVIDIA RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 Discrete Graphics, which support up to four 4K-enabled display outputs.
The ROG NUC has a tool-less chassis design that allows integration in under 10 minutes, with dimensions of 270x180x50 mm. It has various connectivity options, such as HDMI 2.1a, DisplayPort 1.4, Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 2.0, and Intel Killer WiFi 6E AX1690i. It is compatible with both Microsoft Windows 11 and Linux distros, offering operating system flexibility.
ROG Swift OLED monitors
The ROG Swift OLED PG39WCDM is the world’s first dual-mode gaming monitor with a Frame Rate Boost feature that allows users to switch from 4K 240Hz up to FHD 480Hz at any time. It has a 39-inch ultrawide (3440×1440) 240Hz 800R curved OLED display, which offers vivid colors, high contrast, and fast response time. It also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology, Dolby Vision HDR, and Dolby Atmos audio.

ROG Aura Monitor Light Bar and ROG Ergo Monitor Arm
The ROG Aura Monitor Light Bar and ROG Ergo Monitor Arm are two groundbreaking monitor accessories that revolutionize gaming setups.
