HONOR is set to bring the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone to the Philippines. At this point, there’s no sense hiding what’s coming, as many local creators have already revealed it. That’s right, PH fans will soon get their hands on the HONOR Magic V2.

“HONOR fans asked for it and we’re finally bringing it! This is by far the most anticipated launch we have and we are very proud of it. What we’re unveiling in the coming weeks is the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone to date so tech enthusiasts alike really have to watch for it,” said Stephen Cheng, HONOR Philippines Vice President.

We’re not allowed to disclose the full specs of the Magic V2 variant that’s coming to the country yet (because embargo). However, we can discuss some key specs detailed at the foldable’s global launch.

The HONOR Magic V2 is aptly dubbed the world’s thinnest foldable phone flaunting a super-light titanium hinge, and a thickness that measures just 9.9mm when folded and 4.7mm when unfolded.

The phone has a 7.92-inch OLED LTPO internal display with a resolution of 2272×1984 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and stylus support. While on the outside, there is a 6.43-inch OLED LTPO display with a resolution of 2560×1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Both screens feature Dynamic Dimming technology to reduce eye strain and fatigue, as well as a Circadian Night Display function to adjust the color temperature according to the time of day.

On the rear, the Magic V2 has a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP main lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP telephoto lens. And on both the internal and external screens, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and HDR and gyro-EIS features.

Under the hood, the Magic V2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is based on a 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 740 GPU. The chipset supports dual-mode 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E/7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, infrared port, USB Type-C 3.1, OTG, and Display Port 1.2.

The Magic V2 also comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage (the Ultimate model), without any option for external memory expansion, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.

HONOR Philippines has not yet disclosed when the Magic V2 will launch in the country, but expect it to happen soon as the foldable has been seen in the hands of several local creators. Pricing and availability details will be revealed then.
