Metrobank launches new app, deactivates old one on Feb. 13

The old Metrobank mobile app will be permanently unavailable starting February 13, 2024.

Metrobank is launching a new app that promises to provide a smart, simple, and secure banking experience for its customers. It will replace the old Metrobank Mobile App, which will be permanently unavailable starting February 13, 2024.

The new app will offer a range of features, such as cardless withdrawals at Metrobank and PSBank ATMs, waived InstaPay fees for transactions worth P1,000 and below (until June 30), money transfers with a credit card as the source via PayNow, and credit card limit to cash conversion via the Cash2Go.

It also allows users to customize their dashboard and switch to dark mode to save battery life. Moreover, it will soon introduce an Appkey feature that will add another layer of security to protect the users’ accounts.

Current Metrobank Online and old Metrobank Mobile App users can use their existing username and password to access their accounts on the new app. If they have forgotten their password, they can quickly change it on the new app by following a few simple steps.

First-time online banking users can also follow Metrobank’s guide on its website.

The new Metrobank App is now available for download on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or the Huawei AppGallery.
