HONOR officially launched its flagship foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V2, in the Philippines.
The HONOR Magic V2 is the world’s thinnest foldable phone with a 120Hz refresh rate display. The device features a 7.92-inch OLED screen that can fold into a 6.43-inch display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The chipset supports dual-mode 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E/7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, infrared port, USB Type-C 3.1, OTG, and Display Port 1.2.
On the rear, the premium foldable has a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP main lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP telephoto lens. The main lens has an aperture of f/1.9 and supports phase detection autofocus (PDAF). The ultra-wide lens has an aperture of f/2.0 and a field of view of 122 degrees. The telephoto lens has an aperture of f/2.4 and offers 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS).
On both the internal and external screens, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and HDR and gyro-EIS features.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. It is also equipped with a super-light titanium hinge, which is 150% stronger and 42% lighter than steel and aluminum hinges. The titanium hinge also allows the Magic V2 to be thinner than its predecessor by around 25%. It measures just 9.9mm thick when folded and 4.7mm thick when unfolded, making it the thinnest foldable phone on the market.
The HONOR Magic V2 is priced at P79,999. The device will be available for pre-order from February 21 to March 1, 2024, on HONOR’s official online stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
