OPPO rolls out AI Eraser to Reno11 Series

The AI Eraser tool uses generative AI to delete unwanted objects in a photo.

OPPO is rolling out the new AI Eraser tool to the Reno11 Series. The Reno11 Pro 5G, Reno11 5G, and Reno11 F 5G will get the feature via an OTA update starting April 8, 2024.

The AI Eraser tool is similar to Google’s Magic Eraser and Samsung’s Object Eraser, which uses generative AI to delete unwanted objects in a photo and create seamless edits. To check if you have the update, go to Settings> About device and tap on ColorOS at the top to check.

To use AI Eraser, open a photo on the Photos app and edit. Use the Smart Lasso to draw around the object you want to remove. The app automatically detects the object and uses generative AI to draw over it.

Reno11 Series users will experience AI Eraser from early April 2024. The feature will roll out to Reno11 Series users in the Philippines starting April 8. OPPO will release more AI-powered features in the future.

The feature is also coming to OnePlus users sometime this month.
