OPPO launched the new Reno12 Series in China. The lineup includes two models, the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro, packing quad curved AMOLED displays, 80W fast charging, and thin builds.
The Reno12 Series have its share of similarities, but there are some key differences. The phones have 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The screens have curves all around, which offers a refreshing look. This means the curves are not just on the sides, but also at the top and bottom.
The lineup also includes a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging for all day battery life.
So what’s different between the two models? The Reno12 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor with 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB configuration. Meanwhile, the Reno12 has a Dimensity 8250 chip with 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB options.
The Pro model also has a triple camera setup. The 50MP main camera has a Sony IMX890 sensor, alongside the 50MP telephoto and 8MP ultra-wide lens.
The vanilla Reno12, on the other hand, has a similar camera setup, but the main camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor.
Interstingly, the series also includes a slew of AI features, including dictations, transcriptions, and a document scanner that can understand what its scanning, such as math equations.
The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are coming to China first, and are expected to launch in other markets soon.
