After the successful launch of the HONOR 200 Series, HONOR moves to improve its latest devices with a significant update. The AI Eraser arrives on the HONOR 200, upgrading an already formidable device.
The smartphone is one of our favorites, but the new feature takes it up a level. The update brings several improvements. But undoubtedly AI Eraser is the hero feature, leveraging generative AI, to seamlessly remove unwanted elements from photos, whether it is people, blemishes, cars, or any other object.
Take our sample images below. I tried removing all the people on the image to create an empty area. AI Eraser did a good job of clearing the original photo of people. You’ll see some imperfections when pixel peeping, but otherwise, it looks really good, especially on a smartphone screen.
Here’s another example. I used AI Eraser to remove the people, cars, and motorcycles to create a near-empty street. Here, the process was not as seamless as the first one when it tried to replace the white SUV with a black sedan. But all in all, it looks clean and natural.
Aside from AI Eraser, the update also brings these new features to the HONOR 200 Series:
- Bokeh Adjustment Tool|. This feature allows users to adjust the aperture and focus on the subject, increasing the blur effect for a more professional look.
- Group Photo Enhance Tool. Another new addition, this tool can edit up to 50 people in a single photo.
- Face-to-Face Translation. HONOR AI can listen to and translate live audio into different languages.
The HONOR 200 continues to impress as it gets better even after it launched. The phone has a 120Hz 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and a 50MP Sony IMX906 camera.
The HONOR 200 is priced competitively at Php 24,999. For more information, check out our full review. Also available is the HONOR 200 Pro for Php 29,999.
