Google has begun rolling out several new features for YouTube, including the long-awaited Sleep Timer. Previously exclusive to Premium subscribers, Sleep Timer will let you set a timer to automatically pause videos after a specified duration.
The update also brings enhancements to playback speed, offering more granular control with adjustments in increments of 0.05 (from 0.25). Additionally, browsing in landscape mode on iOS will be improved later this year. The in-app miniplayer was also updated, now resizable and moveable.
For those who like making and sharing playlists, YouTube has introduced collaborative playlists with the ability to design custom thumbnails. Voting on videos within playlists will also be available later this year.
Beyond these features, Google is adding badges to the YouTube and YouTube Music mobile apps. Finally, enhancements are coming to YouTube on TV, with visual changes planned for the app across web, mobile, and TV platforms.
Be sure to check the Google Play Store for any app updates.
