HONOR launches Magic7 Pro with 200MP telephoto camera and Magic7 with four 50MP cameras

HONOR has unveiled the Magic7 and Magic7 Pro. These smartphones are the latest to carry Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The main attraction of the Magic7 Pro is the 200MP periscope telephoto camera, which offers up to 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. It is joined at the back by a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.

Meanwhile, in front, it has another 50MP sensor under a pill-shaped cutout beside a 3D face-scanning sensor for more secure unlocking.

At the front, the Magic 7 Pro has a “micro quad curved” 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 2800×1280 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 5000 nits, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The screen also boasts several TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye care and comes with a 4320Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming and hardware-level low blue light for added eye protection.

Additionally, the phone has a large 5850mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging support and an IP68/IP69 dust and water-resistant build. On the software side, it has MagicOS 9.0 on top of Android 15 and a host of AI features and capabilities.

The Magic7 was also introduced, closely mirroring the Pro model in design and specifications with some differences.

This one has a flat display that measures 6.78 inches, also with an LTPO OLED panel. The screen has a 2800×1264 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5000 nits.

Moreover, it drops the periscope lens and adds a 50MP telephoto camera that sits alongside the same main and ultra-wide sensors. This makes the phone’s 50MP sensor count to four including the front shooter.

The Magic7 has a slightly smaller 5650mAh battery but with the same 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging support. It also features an IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance build.

Price and Availability

At this stage, HONOR has not yet released any information about a global launch or availability in other markets. However, in China, the phones are available for pre-order.

The HONOR Magic7 Pro is priced at CNY 5,700 (roughly Php 46,700 or USD 800) for the 12GB+256GB model, CNY 6,200 (Php 50,800 or USD 870) for the 16GB+512GB, and CNY 6,700 (Php 54,900 or USD 940) for the top end 16GB+1TB.

On the other hand, the Magic7 is priced at CNY 4,499 (Php 36,800 or USD 630) for the 12GB+256GB model, CNY 4,799 (PHP 39,300 or USD 670) for the 12GB+512GB, CNY 4,999 (Php 41,000 or USD 700) for the 16GB+512GB, CNY 5,400 (Php 44,200 or USD 760) for the 16GB+1TB model.
