It’s the end of the line for these Xiaomi devices — at least in terms of updates. Xiaomi has quietly updated its End-of-Life (EOL) product list, and some familiar names have been added.
As of February 7, 2025, the Redmi Note 11T 5G, Xiaomi 12X, and POCO M4 Pro 5G have joined the list. This update brings the total to 75 Xiaomi devices, 90 Redmi devices, and 22 POCO devices that will no longer receive firmware updates.
Xiaomi’s move to add these devices to the EOL list isn’t exactly news. It’s part of their standard practice when devices reach a certain age. Once a device is on this list, users won’t receive security patches or new features anymore, which could affect long-term security and overall usability.
Xiaomi’s approach to updates has always been confusing. Typically, the company offers up to two years of security updates for their products. As for OS upgrades, it varies per device. In recent flagship releases, they’ve promised up to four years of OS updates and security patches. For most other devices, though, you can expect only about two years for both.
For POCO and Redmi, the update cycles are even less clear. They haven’t made any official commitments on how long they’ll support their devices. That said, they have been fairly decent, rolling out up to three years of major Android updates and security patches for some of their devices.
EOL Product Lists

So, what does this mean? If you have one of these newly added EOL devices, it might be time to upgrade. Security updates are crucial, and without them, you could be leaving your device vulnerable.
