Redmi A5 now available in the Philippines, starts at P3,599: 120Hz display and 5200mAh battery

Xiaomi has brought its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi A5, to in the Philippines. Priced competitively at ₱3,599, the device offers an updated design and smooth performance, making it an attractive option in the entry-level segment.

The Redmi A5 features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an efficient UNISOC T7250 processor with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

In terms of photography, the Redmi A5 is equipped with a 32MP main camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. Keeping the lights on is a sizeable 5200mAh battery that supports 15W charging. Xiaomi claims the battery can last up to 20.7 hours of video playback and up to 9.14 hours of gaming.

The Redmi A5 runs on Android 15 Go Edition. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM radio support.

Price and Availability

The Redmi A5 is now available on Xiaomi’s official Shopee and Lazada stores in the Philippines. The 3GB+64GB model is priced at ₱3,599, while the 4GB+128GB model is available for ₱4,099.

The smartphone will be out in authorized Mi Stores nationwide starting May 23. Stay tuned for updates.
