Xiaomi launches airline-safe 212W HyperCharge Power Bank 24500 in the Philippines

Xiaomi has launched the 212W HyperCharge Power Bank 24500 in the Philippines. This new addition joins the Xiaomi 15 and Pad 7 Series, offering a powerful and convenient charging solution for various devices. Despite the massive capacity, Xiaomi assures us that the power bank is safe for air travel.

The 212W HyperCharge Power Bank boasts a 24,500mAh capacity or 89Wh, making it compliant with airline regulations.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), power banks with a capacity of 100Wh or less are permitted on board airplanes without prior approval. This range covers power banks from 20,000mAh to 27,000mAh. Power banks exceeding 160Wh are strictly prohibited on flights.

Xiaomi’s new power bank features two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, all supporting the PD 3.1 charging protocol. Each port offers a single-port output of up to 140W. Moreover, the device includes an LED color display that provides battery and charging information at a glance.

The power bank is compatible with a wide range of mainstream devices from popular brands such as Apple, Samsung, OPPO, and vivo, including tablets and laptops.

In terms of safety, the power bank is equipped with a high-quality IC chip that offers nine layers of protection. These include temperature control, overcharge and over-discharge protection, short circuit protection, and more, ensuring the safety and longevity of both the power bank and connected devices.
