Xiaomi has added a new model to its 17 series with the Xiaomi 17 Max. Unlike the 17 Pro Max, this one skips the secondary rear screen and instead focuses on a big display, a huge battery, and Leica cameras.
The phone comes with a 6.9‑inch AMOLED panel with 2608×1200 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
For imaging, it has a 200MP main camera using Samsung’s HP9 sensor with f/1.65 aperture and OIS. It’s joined by a 50MP 3x telephoto with macro support and a 50MP ultrawide. Up front is a 32MP selfie shooter, while security is handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Battery is where the 17 Max stands out. It packs an 8,000mAh silicon‑carbon cell that Xiaomi says can last more than two days and retain 80% capacity after 1,600 cycles, or about four years. Charging options include 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The phone runs HyperOS 3 on Android 16 and is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance. It comes in black, white, and blue.

In China, the Xiaomi 17 Max is priced at CNY 4,799 (~₱43,500) for 12GB+256GB and CNY 5,799 (~₱52,600) for 16GB+512GB. Global rollout details are still to be announced.
