Samsung has officially brought the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G to the Philippines, with prices starting at ₱19,990. As the latest additions to the A-series lineup, these smartphones feature Awesome Intelligence, Samsung’s exclusive AI tools tailored for A-series devices, alongside an impressive six years of software updates.
Both models boast a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
They also pack a 5000mAh battery, Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front and back, and IP67-rated dust and water resistance for extra durability.
While the Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G share similar specs, their key differences lie in their processors and camera systems:
- Galaxy A56 5G: Powered by an Exynos 1480 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. It features a triple-camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. The front camera offers a 12MP shooter for high-quality selfies.
- Galaxy A36 5G: Runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, with similar RAM and storage configurations. The rear cameras are almost identical, but this model features an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
Both devices run One UI 7 based on Android 15, with Samsung promising up to six years of OS upgrades and security updates, ensuring software lasts until March 2031.
They also come with Samsung’s Awesome Intelligence AI tools, which enhance the user experience with smart features tailored for Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G, and A26 5G users.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is priced at ₱23,990 for the 8GB+128GB model and ₱25,990 for the 8GB+256GB model. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A36 5G retails for ₱19,990 for the 8GB+128GB model and ₱21,990 for the 8GB+256GB model.
Each purchase includes an e-voucher worth up to ₱1,500, with additional discounts of up to 20% on select Galaxy Buds and Watches when buying any Galaxy A56, A36, or A26 5G.
