vivo has launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the vivo Y29, in the Philippines. The handset is a good option for students and young professionals looking for a budget-friendly device with a long-lasting battery, starting at ₱8,999.
The vivo Y29 features a 6.68-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage options.
One of the major highlights of the Y28 is its massive 6500mAh BlueVolt battery, supported by 44W fast charging. The BlueVolt system allows for a higher capacity in a more compact form factor, allowing for a slimmer design with only 8.09mm thickness.
For photography, the handset is equipped with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter. It also adds vivo’s dynamic light effects to the mix.
Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick access and security, and enhanced durability with an IP64-certified build for dust and water resistance and an SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance certification, ensuring survival against accidents.
The vivo Y29 comes in two colors, Espresso Brown and Marble White, with a quad-curved back cover, first in the Y Series.
Price and Availability
The vivo Y29 is priced at ₱8,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and ₱10,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. It is now available in all vivo concept stores and kiosks nationwide, and online at vivo’s website.
