The BlackBerry Classic, once a symbol of productivity and secure mobile communication, is getting a modern update. Chinese tech firm Zinwa Technologies is bringing back the iconic device with updated hardware under a new name, the Zinwa Q25 Pro.

The phone retains the original’s signature physical keyboard, square display, and compact design but runs on Android 13 and supports 4G LTE.

The Q25 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is equipped with a 720×720 touchscreen display, 3,000mAh battery, NFC, USB-C port, and a headphone jack, preserving some of the design elements valued by longtime BlackBerry users.

On the photography side, the phone also features a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie shooter.

The Zinwa Q25 Pro is already available for $400 (around ₱23,000). Also available is a $300 DIY conversion kit for those who want to convert their own BlackBerry Classic devices. Both options are scheduled to ship in August 2025.

The company also plans to modernize other legacy models, including the BlackBerry Passport and KEYone. Stay tuned for further updates.
