Unihertz Titan 2 revives BlackBerry Passport design with modern Android specs

Following Zinwa Technologies’ Q25 Pro, a modern take on the BlackBerry Classic, another retro-inspired smartphone has entered the spotlight. Unihertz has unveiled the Titan 2, a device that channels the spirit of the BlackBerry Passport, complete with a physical QWERTY keyboard and a square display.

The Titan 2 features a 4.5-inch 1440×1440 display and a touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard that supports gesture scrolling and cursor control. It runs on Android 15, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and 5G connectivity.

For photography, the Titan 2 includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera. It also packs a 5,050mAh battery with 33W fast charging, along with Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, FM radio, a fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster.

A standout feature is the 2-inch rear display, which can show notifications, widgets, or serve as a selfie screen. The phone also includes dual customizable side buttons for quick access to apps and tools.

The Unihertz Titan 2 is now available on Kickstarter for early backers at $269 (₱15,240), with retail pricing expected at $399 (₱22,600). Shipping is scheduled to begin in October 2025.
