Instagram launched three new features to make it easier for users to share content and stay in touch with friends.
The first up is Reposts. Users can now share public reels and feed posts directly to followers. These show up in a separate tab on the user’s profile, giving creators more chances to reach new audiences.

Next is the Instagram Map, a location-sharing feature that lets users share their last active location with selected friends. It’s optional and includes privacy controls. Users can choose who sees their location and turn sharing off anytime.
Parents with supervision settings can manage how teens use the feature. Even without sharing location, users can explore content tagged with places.
And lastly, there’s the new Friends tab in Reels. This tab shows reels that friends have liked, commented on, reposted, or created. It also includes content from Blends, Instagram’s shared recommendation tool. Users can control what activity is shown and mute updates from specific people.
The new features are rolling out to users. Check the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for app updates.
