vivo OriginOS to launch globally on October 15

First look at X300 Series with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

vivo will officially launch OriginOS worldwide on October 15, 2025. OriginOS has been available only in China until now. It will replace FuntouchOS, which has powered vivo phones outside China since 2013.

OriginOS is known for its clean interface and smart features. vivo says the system is designed to improve speed, design, and user experience. The update will roll out to global markets, including the Philippines.

In a video released by vivo Philippines, CTO Shi Yujian said OriginOS aims to deliver a smoother and smarter mobile experience. vivo Philippines CEO Zeng Kai added that the upgrade will help users connect and create more easily.

The first phones to run OriginOS 6 will be the vivo X300 Series. These devices will also debut globally in October. OriginOS 6 is based on Android 16 and promises faster performance and a more intuitive interface.
