realme 15T review: Slim build, monster battery

Best for heavy users who need endurance without sacrificing style or speed.

realme has recently expanded its mid-range lineup with the launch of the 15T 5G. Starting at ₱16,999, the device packs bold features at an accessible price point.

Headlining the spec sheet is a massive 7000mAh battery, paired with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and a durable build.

In this review, we’ll take a closer look at what the realme 15T 5G brings to the table and whether it’s ready to be your next daily driver. Let’s dive in.

Design & Display

Like the realme 15 Pro, the 15T features a slim profile, measuring just 7.79mm thick and weighing 181g. Considering its massive 7,000mAh battery, it’s impressive how realme managed to pack so much capacity into its sleek frame. That said, the 15 Pro feels slimmer, thanks to its curved display.

realme 15T review

The phone sports a plastic and glass construction. Our review unit comes in the Flowing Silver colorway, featuring a white panel with a matte finish and a unique mother-of-pearl-like pattern.

At the back, you’ll find a square camera module housing three lenses (as far as I know, the third lens is non-functional). It resembles most mid-range designs, though the aluminum alloy camera housing adds a nice touch.

Overall, the design is solid, with a clean aesthetic that looks more premium than its price tag suggests. Despite its thin build, the 15T offers a solid hand feel.

Up front, the device boasts a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2372×1080 FHD+ resolution. As expected from realme, the screen delivers vibrant colors and deep blacks. As expected, its oversaturated, but isn’t a drawback; it actually enhances media and content consumption.

In terms of layout, the volume rocker and power button are positioned on the right side. The SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, and bottom-firing speaker sit at the bottom. Up top, there’s another microphone and an IR blaster for remote control functionality.

For durability, the 15T uses AGC DT-Star D+ glass protection and boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, offering solid protection even when submerged.

The stereo speakers can get impressively loud (up to 300%), though the sound quality is average. It’s enough for casual media use. Meanwhile, the fingerprint scanner is fast and responsive.

Camera Performance

The realme 15T features a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP monochrome lens. On the front, it sports a 50MP selfie camera for video calls and self-portraits.

realme 15T

As with most realme devices, the camera app is intuitive and easy to navigate. The most commonly used modes are within reach, while others, such as Hi-Res, Pro, Street, and Underwater, can be found in the “More” tab.

Image quality is decent, but nothing special. Our test shots showed good detail and natural-looking colors. It’s not the best performer in its price range, but its more than capable for for everyday photography and social media sharing.

Performance & Battery

The realme 15T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max processor. Our review unit came with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with support for up to 14GB of dynamic RAM expansion.

realme 15T

It runs on realme UI 6 based on Android 15, with AI-powered features like Circle to Search and Google Gemini. As with most Android phones, there’s a fair amount of pre-installed bloatware, but you can uninstall or disable most of it.

In terms of performance, the Dimensity 6400 Max holds up well. The phone feels responsive, and basic navigation is smooth with no noticeable lag or stutter.

Benchmark scores reflect this capable performance:

  • AnTuTu: 605,410
  • Geekbench 6: 799 (Single-Core), 2,045 (Multi-Core)
  • 3DMark Wild Life: 1,379

Battery life is where the phone truly shines. The 15T is equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery and supports 60W wired fast charging.

In the PCMark Work 3.0 Battery Life test, it clocked an impressive 18 hours and 1 minute. The test was conducted with brightness at 80%, volume muted, refresh rate set to auto, and airplane mode enabled. That translates to roughly 23 hours and 45 minutes of screen-on time, an outstanding result.

realme 15T

Charging is equally efficient. It took just 1 hour and 20 minutes to go from 20% to full, while a quick 15-minute top-up yielded around 20%. Let’s not forget — it has a massive battery.

Closing Remarks

realme 15T

realme has delivered yet another impressive mid-range phone worth considering. The 15T handles the basics well, with smooth performance and decent cameras.

Its standout feature is undoubtedly the massive 7,000mAh battery. Battery life won’t be a concern here, and it’s impressive how the device maintains a slim profile despite the large capacity.

If long-lasting battery life tops your priority list, the realme 15T deserves a spot on your shortlist.

The realme 15T 5G is now available in the Philippines. The 8GB+256GB variant is priced at ₱16,999, while the 12GB+512GB model costs ₱19,999.
