HUAWEI has launched the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design, the most premium model in its Mate 80 lineup. The phone goes on sale in China on November 28, though there’s no word yet on global availability.
The device is built with a titanium mid-frame and third-generation Kunlun glass. It comes in Hibiscus Purple, Black, and White. It’s also rated IP68 and IP69, which means it can handle dust and water better than most phones.
The front features a 6.9-inch OLED display with sharp 2848×1320 resolution. It supports a refresh rate that adjusts from 1Hz up to 120Hz, plus a 300Hz touch sampling rate for smoother response. The screen covers the BT.2020 color range.
Inside, the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design runs on the Kirin 9030 Pro chip with 20GB of RAM. Storage options are either 512GB or 1TB. It ships with HarmonyOS 6.0.
Power comes from a 6,000mAh battery. Charging is fast, with 100W wired, 80W wireless, and even 18W reverse wired charging.
The rear camera setup includes four sensors: a 50MP main with optical image stabilization, a 40MP ultra-wide, a 50MP macro telephoto, and a 50MP super telephoto. It supports up to 6.2x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The front camera is a 13MP shooter with 3D depth sensing.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 11,999 (around ₱99,500 / USD 1,695) for the 512GB model and CNY 12,999 (around ₱107,800 / USD 1,840) for the 1TB version.
