Apple has announced the MacBook Neo, its most affordable MacBook yet. The new laptop comes with the A18 Pro chip and a starting price of ₱39,990 in the Philippines.
The MacBook Neo has a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with sharp resolution and support for 1 billion colors. It weighs just 2.7 pounds and is available in four colors: Blush, Indigo, Silver, and Citrus.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by an A18 Pro chip. Apple says it is up to 50 percent faster for everyday tasks compared to Intel Core Ultra 5 laptops, and up to three times faster for AI workloads. The laptop runs quietly with a fanless design and offers up to 16 hours of battery life.
Other features include a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, a large trackpad, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones with noise reduction, and side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.
For connectivity, it has two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, and a headphone jack. It runs macOS Tahoe with Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools and Live Translation.
Apple also highlights its eco-friendly design, using recycled aluminum and other materials to make it the company’s lowest-carbon MacBook so far.
Price in the Philippines
In the Philippines, the new MacBook Neo is priced at ₱39,990 for the 256GB model and ₱46,990 for the 512GB with Touch ID configuration. It will be available soon through Apple’s online store and authorized resellers in the Philippines.
