PLDT Home offers free calls to Filipinos in the Middle East amid tensions

PLDT Home is giving subscribers in the Philippines free International Direct Dial (IDD) calls to connect with family and friends in the Middle East.

The offer is available from March 1 to 7. PLDT Home subscribers can make free international calls from their landlines to these countries with the following area codes:

  • Bahrain: +973
  • Kuwait: +965
  • Iraq: +964
  • Oman: +968
  • Qatar: +974
  • Saudi Arabia: +966
  • United Arab Emirates: +971
  • Israel: +972
  • Iran: +98

Subscribers can make unlimited calls each day, with a limit of 30 minutes per call. To call, just dial 00 + country code + area/mobile code + phone number.

This move comes amid tensions in the region, which continue to affect overseas Filipino workers and their families. PLDT Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan said the company wants to make it easier for Filipinos to reach their loved ones during these uncertain times.
