POCO has confirmed the chipsets for its upcoming X8 Pro series. The POCO X8 Pro will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the larger POCO X8 Pro Max will use the Dimensity 9500s, a toned-down version of the flagship Dimensity 9500.

Leaks have revealed almost the full spec sheet of the POCO X8 Pro Max. It is said to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color, and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It will also have up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The phone could have a huge 8,500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging. Other features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, vapor chamber cooling, and IP68 dust and water resistance. It will run HyperOS 3 out of the box.
For cameras, the X8 Pro Max is expected to have a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 20MP front camera. The design is said to measure 8.38mm thick and weigh around 201 grams.
Meanwhile, the POCO X8 Pro will come with a smaller 6.59-inch OLED display and a 6,500mAh battery. Both models are expected to launch globally later this month.
