Google Play expands paid games with cross‑platform play

Google Play is expanding its paid games library and making cross‑platform play easier for mobile and PC users. The update adds more indie titles like Moonlight Peaks, Sledding Game, and Low‑Budget Repairs, which can now be played on both Android and Windows PCs.

One of the biggest changes is the “Buy Once, Play Anywhere” feature. With this, players who purchase select paid games, like the Reigns series and Dungeon Clawler, can access them on mobile and PC. Progress is saved through Google Play Games profiles, so you can continue where you left off.

Google also improved game discovery. A new PC section in the Play Store highlights titles optimized for Windows. Wishlist alerts notify users when games go on sale, while Game Trials let players try full versions of paid games for free. Progress from trials carries over if the game is purchased.

Community and AI features are part of the update as well. Community posts allow players to share tips and strategies, while Play Games Sidekick provides AI‑generated guidance during gameplay.

Google says this is just the start of a long list of improvements for Play in 2026. Stay tuned for updates.
