realme 16 Series 5G teased ahead of April launch in the Philippines

realme is giving us an early look at the upcoming realme 16 Series 5G, set to launch in the Philippines on April 23. The new lineup includes nature-inspired design and upgraded photography hardware.

The series has already debuted globally, so local fans have a preview of what to expect. Here’s a quick rundown of the key features.

The lineup introduces the Urban Wild Design, developed with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. The flagship realme 16 Pro+ 5G comes in Master Gold with a bio-based silicone back panel made from plant straw, offering durability and a soft finish.

Other options include Pebble Grey and Orchid Purple for the 16 Pro 5G, while the standard realme 16 5G adopts a minimalist “Air” aesthetic in White and Black. Camera layouts differ: the Pro models use a rounded-square module, while the base model has a horizontal strip.

Photography is the highlight. The realme 16 Pro+ 5G features a 200MP OIS main camera, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP front camera. It also debuts the TUV Rheinland-certified LumaColor Image Camera, designed to improve color accuracy, balance lighting, and render natural skin tones.
