Swatch and Audemars Piguet just dropped their latest collab, the Royal Pop, ahead of its official launch. Big surprise here because instead of wristwatches, this release comes as a set of colorful pocket watches inspired by the Royal Oak. Apparently, sales will start on May 16 in selected Swatch stores worldwide.

The Royal Pop lineup features eight bioceramic models, all powered by Swatch’s SISTEM51 manual‑wind movement with a 90‑hour power reserve. The design keeps the Royal Oak’s signature octagonal bezel, “Petite Tapisserie” dial, and luminous hands. Each piece can be worn on a lanyard, clipped to a bag, or even used as a desk clock.
There are two styles. The Lépine versions (crown at 12) include six colorways like Otto Rosso, Huit Blanc, and Green Eight. The Savonette versions (crown at 3 with small seconds) come in Lan Ba and OTG ROZ. Pricing is set at USD 400 for Lépine and USD 420 for Savonette (that’s roughly ₱24,600 and ₱25,800).
Audemars Piguet is also donating all proceeds to programs that preserve traditional watchmaking skills.

Early demand looks strong, with fans lining up days ahead of launch, similar to the hype seen with the MoonSwatch. The big question is whether this pocket watch will catch on like their past collaborations.
