Swatch has confirmed its next big collaboration, this time with Audemars Piguet. The new release will be called Royal Pop, set to drop on May 16, 2026. Since the big reveal, it’s already shaping up to be one of the brand’s boldest moves since the MoonSwatch.
The name comes from Audemars Piguet’s legendary Royal Oak, a grail watch first introduced in 1972 with prices starting around $31,900 (around ₱1.95 million).
But the Royal Pop isn’t expected to be a straight wristwatch. With the name, early hints suggest it could be a Pop Swatch‑style module that can be worn differently, such as on a lanyard, keychain, or necklace.
Unlike the battery‑powered MoonSwatch, the Royal Pop will feature a mechanical movement. Swatch is clearly aiming to introduce younger buyers to mechanical watchmaking while keeping the design playful and accessible.
Like previous collaborations, expect to see a combination of Audemars Piguet’s iconic octagonal eight-bolt bezel, Swatch’s Bioceramic material, and a price tag of around $300 to $500 (₱18,000 to ₱30,000).

This collab is expected to be as popular as the Omega Swatch partnership, with the same kind of hype and sell‑out frenzy on release day. Expect demand to spike on launch day, with queues outside stores and resale prices likely to follow.
