Windows drops Windows 11 KB5094126 update: Brings CPU boost, Shared Audio

Microsoft has released the Windows 11 KB5094126 update as part of June’s Patch Tuesday rollout. The update applies to versions 24H2 and 25H2, and is available through Windows Update or direct download via the Microsoft Update Catalog.

KB5094126 brings several performance and usability improvements. A new Low Latency Profile briefly raises CPU frequency to reduce lag when opening menus, notifications, or apps.

Windows also gains Shared Audio support, allowing two Bluetooth LE devices to stream system audio at the same time.

Another new feature is multi-app camera support, which lets multiple apps access the webcam simultaneously. Microsoft has also added a toggle in Settings for users who prefer single-app control. New installs now allow custom names for user folders, replacing the old default that used the first five characters of an email address.

Beyond these, KB5094126 improves accessibility and stability. Magnifier works better with screen readers, Task Manager now tracks NPU usage, and personalization options like wallpapers and accent colors are more reliable. Windows Search, clipboard history, and Microsoft Store downloads are faster, while explorer.exe and Windows Hello see stability fixes.

Security updates for .NET (versions 8.0.28 and 9.0.17) and the Malicious Software Removal Tool are also included.

The update installs automatically unless paused, but offline installers are available for manual installation.
