EastWest Bank brings Garmin Pay to PH cardholders

EastWest Bank has launched Garmin Pay in the Philippines, giving Visa debit/credit and Mastercard credit cardholders a new way to pay using Garmin smartwatches. The service works at any contactless-enabled terminal.

Garmin Pay supports multiple EastWest cards, so customers can choose which one to use straight from their watch. Transactions are secured with tokenization, keeping card details safe while making everyday payments faster and easier.

EastWest executives say the move is about convenience and flexibility. SVP Norman Martin Reyes described it as simple,“just tap your watch, and you’re done.” CEO Jerry Ngo added that customers want fast, easy, and secure options as payment habits continue to change.
