Garmin brings Descent X30 dive computer to the Philippines

Features an eco design and real-time dive tracking.

Garmin has launched the Descent X30 in the Philippines, a new dive computer built for recreational divers who want clearer underwater data and a more eco-friendly device.

The Descent X30 comes with a bright 2.4-inch color screen that makes dive information easy to check in low visibility. Its housing and bezel use recycled ocean-bound plastic. Large metal buttons are leakproof and designed to be easy to press, even with gloves.

Battery life can last up to 30 hours, enough for several dives in one trip. The device is rated at 10 ATM, which covers depths suited for recreational diving. A flip-screen mode lets divers adjust button placement depending on their gear.

One of the standout features is Garmin’s new NDL Aware depth metrics. These show how changes in depth affect no-decompression limits in real time, helping divers plan safer dives.

The computer also includes a digital compass, surface GPS for site navigation, and alerts that use sound or vibration. Dive logs can be reviewed later through the Garmin Dive app.

The Descent X30 supports multi-gas profiles, including trimix. It can also connect to Garmin’s inReach satellite communicator, allowing divers to send an SOS message once back on the surface.
