Nvidia is reportedly working on an RTX 5090 SE graphics card. The new GPU is said to sit between the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, giving gamers another high-end option.
The card is rumored to pack 32GB of GDDR7 memory, the same as the 5090, but with a narrower 384-bit bus. It will use the GB202 GPU with 14,080 CUDA cores. That’s about 31 percent more than the 5080 but a third less than the 5090. Power draw is listed at 500W, with Nvidia recommending a 1,000W PSU.
Performance is expected to beat the rumored RTX 5080 Super, though not match the full 5090. Pricing is said to target around USD 1,500. Actual retail costs may be higher depending on supply. For comparison, the RTX 5080 currently sells between USD 1,400 and USD 2,000, while the RTX 5090 rarely drops below USD 4,000.
Since early 2025, the RTX 5090 has been the fastest GPU, offering about 50 percent more performance than the 5080 and double the VRAM. The RTX 5090 SE looks positioned as a more accessible choice for gamers and creators who want more power without paying flagship prices.
