PLDT Home’s Online Alerto is helping Filipino families become smarter and safer online. The platform promotes responsible digital citizenship through awareness, education, and community engagement. It encourages parents and kids to recognize online risks like scams, fraud, and unsafe content while building habits that protect their privacy and security.
The initiative started in 2022 and has grown into a Facebook community of over 76,000 members. It serves as a hub for online safety tips, scam alerts, and discussions about responsible internet use.
PLDT Home also partners with schools and organizations to bring its Online AlerTour campaign to campuses such as FEU, Universidad de Manila, and PUP. The program, done with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, teaches students how to spot warning signs online and report suspicious activity.
Online Alerto promotes what PLDT calls digital bayanihan, a shared effort to make the internet safer for everyone. It encourages simple habits like verifying before sharing, protecting personal data, guiding vulnerable users, and reporting harmful content.
As more Filipinos rely on the internet for work, learning, and daily life, PLDT Home’s Online Alerto continues to expand its reach. The goal is clear: empower every household to enjoy digital freedom while staying alert, informed, and connected responsibly.
